Udal Thathuvam

Udal Thathuvam (Physiology) deals with the functioning of living systems in the human body. The Department of Human Physiology in the Siddha system of medicine is taught both as Siddha Physiology and as Modern Physiology, offering students a blend of ancient and modern perspectives. Our efficient staff are dedicated to teaching, and the physiology laboratory is well-built and fully equipped with microscopes and other instruments to train students in the fundamentals and diagnostic principles of human physiology. Udal Vediyal (Biochemistry) is related to human health and diseases, focusing on the methodology and interpretation of clinical tests to support diagnosis and treatment. In Biochemistry, students are taught to interrelate the metabolic reactions of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, enzymes, hormones, nucleic acids, vitamins, and minerals. This enables them to apply their knowledge to modern health challenges. The department is supported by audio-visual smart classes and a well-equipped lab that offers hands-on training and fosters a path toward research in life sciences.
